Activism & Advocacy

Four Winds has been the base of operations for a variety of grassroots struggles, organizations, and coalitions; and a catalyst to broader grassroots movements, including the movement to end Columbus Day in Colorado.

One of the foundations of Four Winds’ approach to working with our community is the understanding that providing services is merely a safety net activity. Ultimately, it does not empower or liberate. We balance our approach to community support with a strong focus on community organizing, activism, and advocacy.
